Guest Bedroom

This bedroom in Mayfield, East Sussex was in need of updating, old wallpaper and large cracks on the ceiling.

So we set about removing the old wallpaper and prepping the walls ready for new lining paper to be hung, the ceiling cracks were cut our and filled and one large crack required taping.

All the white furniture was prepped, degreased and primed prior to re painting.

Ceiling was finished in Tikkurila AR2 white.

Walls finished with Dulux Diamond Matt mixed to match Farrow & Ball Calke Green.

All wood work finished in Tikkurila Helmi 10

Water Damage

We returned to this property in Burwash to carry out some repairs to a room we decorated two years ago.

This water damaged ceiling and part of the walls had unfortunately succumbed to a leak from the bathroom on the floor above, it was now fully dried and covered in mould, we cleaned, prepared and stain blocked the water damaged areas then blended in the paint work into the existing areas giving a flawless finish you would never know it had been repaired.

The room is now ready to welcome the Christmas visitors

We recently refreshed and updated this kitchen in Stonegate East Sussex.

All cabinetry hand painted, prepared and degreased with Tikkurila Maalipesu, primed with Caparol Haftprimer then finished with x 2 coats of Tikkurila Helmi 10 mixed to Paint & Paper Library Ivory 1.

Wallpaper

We recently completed the wallpapering of this bedroom in Wadhurst.

You can see from the photographs how well this paper transforms and compliments both the room and the spectacular views beyond.

Walls were prepared and cross lined prior to hanging the Colefax & Fowler paper.

New Porch

Just been back to revisit this job we completed a couple of months ago.

This new front porch has had a great transformation as you will see when you get to the before pictures.

Our clients choice of colour is superb and he is slowly getting lots of work done to his ground floor flat in Tunbridge Wells, we can’t wait to go back and see it again once the garden has been transformed.

Feeling blue

This living room in Blackham was given a much needed update.

Tired old wallpaper was removed and walls prepped and lined.

New Kitchen & Utility

It’s been a while since we have done an update…..so here is a recently finished kitchen in Wadhurst.

All new plaster and wood work for us…not forgetting a nice empty space to work in.

Ceilings were painted in Johnstone’s Perfect Matt which is great for achieving the flawless finish.

Walls were painted in Tikkurila Optiva 5 mixed to Farrow & Ball Middleton Pink.

All woodwork finished with Tikkurila Helmi 10.

Entrance hall modernisation

This large entrance hall, landing and front porch got a much needed facelift from its original decor.

The old colour had become bland and was in much need of a refresh.

Our customer had selected a few colours to choose from until her final decision and I really think she hit the nail on the head! ….I was a bit dubious at first when given the go ahead but when it came together the realisation on how well the colours compliment each other in this large space along with the existing wallpaper and furnishings then it really gives you the wow factor!

Colours are Farrow & Ball Churlish Green for the main walls and Farrow & Ball Stiffkey Blue for the feature wall, all mixed in Johnstone’s cleanable matt emulsion.

Ceilings we’re painted with Johnstone’s perfect matt brilliant white and the woodwork in Johnstone’s oilbased eggshell in brilliant white.

Happy New Year

After a nice relaxing Christmas break we are back to work…..starting with this Hallway/Landing/Staircase.

Lots of prep on the walls and ceilings as the previous owner had really sloshed the paint on!
Now all refreshed and ready for the new carpets.

Merry Christmas

For our last job of the year we have come to rural Penshurst in Kent.

This living room needed freshening up and keeping a cosy but up to date feel so the client opted for Farrow & Ball Stiffkey Blue.

We were fed well here just to make sure we got the job completed in time, so plenty of bacon sandwiches and mince pies.

All Paint used was Johnstone’s trade, Perfect Matt for the ceiling, satin on the woodwork and cleanable matt for the walls.

Dunkirk revisited part 2

So we couldn’t fit all the photos into part 1 hence part 2.

We gave the entrance hall a makeover, with a nice colour change in keeping with the property.

The oak front door had split and cracked badly meaning we had to burn most of the existing paint away and a lot of sand it down, the door was filled where required and a good oil based adhesion primer used before we applied x 2 coats of Farrow & Ball exterior eggshell.

All paints used are Farrow & Ball and the colours are: Sulking Room Pink, Matchstick and Dix Blue.
