Cloakroom.......With A View!

Our expertise was needed to skillfully transform this newly constructed cloakroom, and I think you can agree that the results are truly an amazing transformation! The wallpaper used is the stunning Lucie Annabel ‘Soleil Ink & Gold.’ The ceiling has been carefully painted in a Farrow & Ball Dead Flat Emulsion in ‘Au Lait,’ enhancing the overall ambiance. Additionally, the woodwork has been meticulously painted using Farrow & Ball Modern Eggshell in ‘Railings,’ contributing to the elegant finish throughout the space.

Making An Entrance

This entrance hall, nestled in the heart of the picturesque East Sussex countryside, underwent meticulous preparation and close attention to detail to bring to life the exact vision of our client. The grand staircase spanned four floors, necessitating scaffolding that ascended right through its core. Though I wish I could showcase all the photos of this remarkable project, space here is limited. The walls adorn a harmonious palette of Farrow & Ball Dead Flat Emulsion in the serene tone of Eddy, while Edward Bulmer Spanish White graces the walls below the dado rail on the ground level. Tikkurila Anti Reflex 2 White envelops the ceilings and cornice, radiating a sense of purity. Edward Bulmer Spanish White adorns all woodwork and columns, exuding timeless elegance. Noteworthy are the spindles, finished in Little Greene Intelligent Eggshell, a distinct hue born from a fortuitous mixing error, embraced wholeheartedly by our client for its unique charm.

This drawing room in Mayfield, East Sussex, required a touch of warmth, and our clients' choice of colour was just right. The transformation is evident in our before-and-after photos. Prior to painting, we diligently prepared the walls, addressing cracks and cabling needs. The walls, columns, and dado rail received three coats of Edward Bulmer Jonquil at a 60% shade, while the woodwork was beautifully finished in Edward Bulmer Spanish White eggshell. For the ceiling and cornice, we opted for Tikkurila Anti Reflex, ensuring a flawless finish. Our commitment to preparation, dedication, and perfection shines through in every detail.

A brighter kitchen for 2024

It’s been a while……

So after an extremely busy year working throughout Kent & Sussex and a lack of updates, it’s time to start posting again.

We recently transformed this Lovely living room in Tenterden, Kent.

As you can see from the pictures the room is now very calm, cosy and relaxing space which I’m sure our customers will enjoy for many years to come.

Kitchen & Dining Room with feature wall - Rotherfield, East Sussex

We recently completed this kitchen renovation for Howlett Home Improvements.

All walls and ceilings were sanded and filled before sealing with a mist coat.

Ceilings were painted in Tikkurila AR2 and Walls in Tikkurila Optiva 5, all wood work painted in Tikkurila Helmi 30, all paint was matched to Farrow & Ball Amonite.

Feature wall was cross lined then Farrow & Ball Helleborus wallpaper was hung.

Wallpaper Trending For 2023

Wallpaper seems to be trending for us this year, with more projects to be posted here in the next few weeks so keep checking our news section for some ideas you may like.

This bedroom in Tunbridge Wells had old wallpaper peeling in sections and needed sprucing up.

The reason for this is that the paper had been hung on a painted surface and had been applied to fresh plaster which had not been sealed, this caused the layers of paint to strip away from the walls with the paper and caused an absolute mess and a big headache for us.

Once the paper had been stripped we had to scrape the walls and remove as much paint as we could followed by lots of sanding and filling.

We cross lined the walls then we set up about hanging this beautiful wallpaper from Colefax & Fowler.

As you can see from the before and after pictures how we got the best result from our meticulous prep work.

Hand Painted Kitchen Cabinetry

We recently completed hand painting these kitchen cabinets in Mayfield, East Sussex.

The cabinets were looking tired and grubby and in need of bringing back to life, you can clearly see in the photos from the completed work through the preparation and before the process was started.

We fully prepped and degreased all the woodwork before spot priming with Smith & Rodger Blockade followed by a full coat of Caparol Haftprimer, the finishing coats were in Tikkurila Helmi 10 matched to Farrow & Ball School House White.

Water damaged cloakroom

This cloakroom in Five Ashes, Mayfield succumbed to leaking lead valley above resulting in plaster and paper damage to the walls.

We stripped all the walls and repaired before lining them and painting half the room in Farrow & Ball Modern Emulsion ‘Yeabridge Green’ and hanging the other half in Farrow & Ball wallpaper ‘Bumble Bee’.

Ceiling was painted in Farrow & Ball Estate Emulsion ‘Pointing’ and all woodwork in Farrow & Ball eggshell ‘Old White’.

Bedroom Makeover

We returned to this property in Eridge to revamp this bedroom.

The room was looking tired with the old wallpaper adorning the walls and the paper coming loose in sections on the ceiling.

Our client wanted us to strip walls and ceiling and to re line, we advised that by using the best primers and method of repair we could save them the disruption and extra cost this would incur.

As you can see from the before and after pictures the complete transformation of the bedroom which is now ready for the new carpet and blinds to be fitted.

Ceiling and Walls are painted in Tikkurila vinyl Matt matched to Little Greene Bone China Blue 107 as is the wardrobe in Tikkurila Helmi 30 and radiator in Tikkurila Everal Aqua Matt 10.

Cornice and ceiling rose are painted in Tikkurila vinyl Matt matched to Little Greene Stock 37 as is the remaining woodwork in Tikkurila Helmi 30.
